Delete project items
It is a good idea to make a backup copy of your project (using the Finder) before you delete sources, nodes or other project items.
If you accidentally delete a project item, use the 'undo' function to reverse your action.
WARNING If you delete a source, node or classification that is associated with other items in your project, then other information in your project may also be deleted. For example:
-
If you delete a source, then any annotations and coding references associated with the source are also removed.
-
If you delete a node, then any coding references associated with the node are also removed.
-
If you delete a source classification, then any sources with that classification are no longer classified, and their attribute values (for example, bibliographical information about your sources) are removed.
-
If you delete a case classification, then any cases with that classification are no longer classified, and their attribute values (for example, demographic information) are removed.
To delete a project item:
-
In the List View, click the item you want to delete.
-
On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Delete.
Keyboard shortcut: To delete the selected item, press DELETE.
