Undo recent actions

 


You can use the 'undo' function to reverse your most recent actions. Once you undo an action, you cannot 'redo' it.  

The undo list is cleared when you save the project—you cannot undo changes made before you saved the project.

Undo your last action

  • Choose Edit > Undo for the action that you want to undo. Actions must be undone in sequence starting with the most recent action.

Keyboard shortcut To undo your last action, press ⌘+Z

Limitations in this release

In this release of the software, some actions cannot be undone, as outlined in the following table:

Edit text in sources. Note: Text changes are saved when you switch to another activity—for example, click in the List View or turn off edit mode. After the text changes are saved, you cannot undo them.

Nodes and coding Create or delete nodes in List View
Change the name or description of a node
Turn node aggregation ON or OFF
Code content at a node
Uncode content at a node
Auto code a dataset
Spread coding
Move or copy nodes
Merge nodes
Folders and sets Create or delete folders and sets
Change the name or description of a folder or set
 
Add or remove set members
Move or copy folders
Move or copy sets
Annotations Create or delete annotations  
Classifications Create or delete classifications
Change the name or description of a classification
Update attributes
Copy classifications
Any other actions involving classifications (for example, import classification data)
Queries Delete queries
Change the name or description of a query
Save query results
Move or copy queries
Any other actions involving queries (for example, save or update query)
Mind maps Create or delete a mind map
Change the name of a mind map
Add or delete shapes on a mind map
Editing and formatting of text and shapes on a mind map.
Note: If you exit edit mode, the mind map is saved, and you cannot undo changes made prior to saving.
